1) There actually were such things as male chastity belts?
2) In the 1960's it was believed that taking an aspirin with Coca Cola would get you high?
3) For a while Red M&M's weren't produced because it was believed that they would get you high?
4)Louis XIV invented high heels and for a while heels were worn exclusively by men?
These are just some of the many "interesting" facts that I have learned in my Women and Gender class. Some of the others are just not appropriate to write here.
Oh.....p.s. to the teacher..............the bad economist jokes should never be repeated. They were just plain bad.

I actually thought that the bad politician joke was worse. At leas the invisible hand was original. The system? Eh, it's been done.
And I actually did know that about the heels, because my professor in another class was talking about it, and then he demonstrated by standing up on his toes. And it was funny.
